Resources for University Professionals

Professionals in higher education -- counselors, researchers, teacher preparation faculty, psychologists, and others -- have a long and distinguished relationship with the field of gifted and talented education and with NAGC.  We present resources here for the university community and welcome suggestions for additional resources. 

Standards in Gifted Education

NAGC has created standards for gifted programs, teacher training and more, in collaboration with the Council for Exceptional Children.

  • Teacher preparation standards   (Note that these standards are used for program reviews related to CAEP accreditation.)
  • Advanced standards in gifted education teacher training
  • P-12 gifted education programming standards
  • Knowledge and Skill standards in gifted education for all teachers
