LEAP stands for: Lead (with) Effective and Actionable Practice and represents the core tenets of the LEAP framework (see graphic below).

Curriculum Design for Teachers of Gifted and High-Potential StudentsThe LEAP Online Modules for Curriculum Design employ a proven learning structure that will guide and support you through developing and assessing the curriculum you use with high-ability learners. Each self-paced module includes readings, videos, unique application activities, PLC guides, and other resources curated by developers Christine Weber and Emily Mofield. The modules also include new videos and contributions from top scholars and practitioners on curriculum design, including Cheryll Adams, Carolyn Callahan, Ashley Carpenter, Christine Dietz, Donna Y. Ford, Shelagh Gallagher, Kathy Gavin, Catherine Little, Jason McIntosh, Monica Meadows, Tracy Missett, Ann Robinson, Tamra Stambaugh, Joyce VanTassel-Baska, and Hope (Bess) Wilson. The LEAP Guidebook for Curriculum Design for Teachers of Gifted and High-Potential Students is required to complete the modules.
