There is a new self-asessment tool for teachers and gifted coordinators based on the NAGC Pre-K-Grade 12 Gifted Programming Standards. The guide was created by the NAGC Standards Committee and is available in the bookstore. It includes an examination of current practice and a way to chart steps to improvement.
NAGC and CEC developed the teacher preparation standards in gifted education used by universities seeking national recognition. K-12 schools can use the teacher preparation standards to create in-service learning for both general education and gifted education educators and staff.
